The WUMAG TEXROLL Cylinder Dryer is separated from hall ambient by a special encapsulation with high thermal insulation values. The installation is equipped with an overall air management system for exhaust and inlet air streams and with a 2-stage heat exchanger system in order to preheat the inlet air stream:
- 1st stage heat recovery from dryer exhaust air with highest possible ef ciency ratio due to condensation of exhaust air moisture
- 2nd stage heat recovery from dryer condensate stream by utilizing the ash steam (latent heat) still carried inside the condensate. The exhaust air moisture control will automatically adjust the air management to the optimum operation point.
With these measures it works out that the overall energy balance of the cylinder dryer leads to the physical minimum when it comes to convection and radiation losses. The system is completed by a continious capacity adjustment via moisture control in conjunction with recirculation of cylinder steam by our SteamPlus technology.
The result is an increase of drying capacity by app. 10% and an energy saving of min. 20 %.
